TruckScience wraps up a successful Truck World 2026

TruckScience wraps up a successful Truck World 2026 1024 428 TruckScience

TruckScience is just back from Truck World 2026 in Mississauga, Ontario. Held from April 16-18 at The International Centre, the event was – as always – as busy as it was enlightening!

Truck World promotes itself as “the premier destination for trucking executives, fleet managers, and governmental entities seeking to explore the latest trucks, equipment, and innovations shaping both present and future landscapes of the business of trucking.”

We always welcome the opportunity to connect directly with our users at the show, to help solve complex payload and compliance issues.

Key statistics from the event

Truck World 2026 demonstrated strong industry engagement, with fleets and suppliers continuing to adopt new technologies and operational strategies. The event organizers successfully brought together professionals from all corners of the commercial vehicle sector.

Truck News, reported on robust turnout for this year’s show:

  • 12,464 industry professionals in attendance, bringing together fleet operators, upfitters, and engineers looking for specification solutions.
  • 521 exhibiting companies showcasing the latest tech, parts, and specialized vocational bodies.
  • 390,000 square feet of active event space focused on the future of the commercial vehicle sector.

Walking the floor, it was clear that professionals are prioritizing data-driven tools to streamline their truck specification processes and maximize their return on investment.

Customer-focused solutions: live weight analysis

Throughout the week, our focus was squarely on answering attendees’ questions about truck weight analysis.

We spent our time connecting with fleet managers, body builders, and engineers from across Canada and beyond. As a proud partner of the CTEA (Canadian Transportation Equipment Association), we understand the nuances of local compliance and enjoy helping Canadian professionals navigate their unique regulatory landscape.

Many upfitters and fleet operators visited our booth with real-world specification scenarios. To help them see the direct impact of our software on their daily challenges, we ran live, real-time demonstrations of the TruckScience Axle Weight Calculator right there on the show floor.

We showed attendees how the platform takes the heavy lifting out of navigating Canada’s distinct provincial weight regulations, such as Ontario’s strict SPIF guidelines. By demonstrating live calculations, we were able to show truck salespeople how they can validate complete vehicle builds, from adding a heavy service crane to spec’ing out a municipal snowplow, in minutes rather than hours. This ensures that their customers’ vehicles stay compliant, safe, and fully optimized for the road.

Industry trends: The transition to electrification

A major focal point of this year’s show was the expanding presence of Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEVs). According to the official Truck World GreenTECH program, sustainability is becoming a key driver for fleets looking to control long-term operating expenses. Truck News highlighted that the event featured dedicated sessions on battery-electric drivetrains, EV charging infrastructure, and a ride-and-drive feature for alternative-fuel trucks.

For the professionals we spoke with at our booth, transitioning to electric and hybrid powertrains fundamentally changes vehicle engineering:

  • Heavier Battery Packs: Electric vehicle batteries add significant weight, which directly impacts a truck’s available payload and shifts its center of gravity.
  • Axle Distribution: Re-engineering where that weight sits on the chassis requires precise calculation to ensure the front or rear axles are not inadvertently overloaded.

During our booth demonstrations, we highlighted how TruckScience allows fleet engineers to easily model these new electric chassis.

Enjoying the Greater Toronto area

Toronto is a vibrant, diverse, and exceptionally clean city, and the hospitality we experienced, from the convention halls in Mississauga to the restaurants downtown, was excellent. Taking a little time to look around and soak in the atmosphere always makes this an enjoyable show for our team.

Let’s keep the conversation going

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the TruckScience booth. Whether you were an existing user sharing your success stories, or an upfitter looking to eliminate specification guesswork for the first time, your questions and feedback drive the continuous improvement of our software.

If you missed us at Truck World 2026, or if you want to see exactly how our software can optimize your fleet’s payload and compliance, we would love to show you around the platform. Pop open a chat to connect with our support team, or start exploring today.
