Today’s update to the Axle Weight Calculator includes templates for service bodies, just in time for the Weight Calculator demos at The Work Truck Show next week!
When a Service Body is added to your vehicle, you can specify Dimensions (Length, Height, Width of the body, and Depth of Left and Right Compartments, Longitudinal Frame Height and Crossmember Height), Spatial Position (Cab to Body Clearance (CB) and Top of Chassis to Bottom of Body), Body Weight, as well as Horizontal, Vertical, and Lateral Center of Gravity points of the body.
In response to user feedback, we’ve added abbreviated dimension labels to the drawing Remember to click on highlighted dimensions to edit them.
Detailed Weights and CGs on Report
The exportable PDF report now includes a detailed breakdown of 3-dimensional center of gravity and weight distribution for each component of your design. To access this detail, click on the Print Preview icon in the app toolbar, and scroll to page 2 of the report. Remember the report can be customized with your logo for sharing with customers and other stakeholders.
Crane ‘From Back of Cab’ and ‘Above/Below Chassis’ can be specified as negative values now, to allow you to position the Crane forward of the cab & below the chassis.
Use the ‘Manage Account’ option under your user profile to edit the Name, Billing Address and Payment Method for your account, or to download historical invoices.
Simulate Longer Routes
For users of the Performance module who wish to simulate vehicle performance on longer routes, we’ve increased the route length limit to 3000 miles or 5000 km.
We’ve added more vehicles to our library, from Ford, Freightliner, FUSO, Iveco, Kenworth, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot and UD Trucks.
New bodies include Template and Standard sample Service Bodies, as well as a Freezer Body with Reverse Luton.
Standard equipment added includes Thermoking fridges, Jomac and Stellar cranes, a CIT (Cash in Transit) Unit, as well as a sample Bobcat, Roll-Off Hoist, Ladder Rack, Rear Step/Bumper, Tow Hitch and Welding Generator. We’ve added more sample payload items, such as a Standard Supermarket Pallet.
These items were all added in response to requests from users in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States.
We are concentrating on completing libraries of vehicles for USA, Australia and South Africa for now, and users in these markets can request individual items to be added to our library at no additional cost.
